It doesnt seem so long ago…

… when I was writing last years email giving farewell to 2006.

I always like to look back and see, feel and quickly analyze what the past months have brought into play.

2007 (starting already at the end of 2006) was an oasis in the dessert, a dessert getting hotter and hotter, the oasis quenched my thirst!

2007 has been useful in consolidating the basis

2007 has been instrumental for bringing more experience

2007 has been crucial to create a new family

2007 has been KEY to extending my new family

ALSO

2007 has brought a sense of stress

2007 has let me understand once again the price of money and the value of freedom

2007 has let me enjoy the warmth of my baby boy, his smiles and  the suffering in his pain when feeling ill

2007 has brought NEW light for defining my goals and pursuing the new destinations in my life

All and all, 2008 will unfold thanks to the learnings of a long and tastefull 2007 with a brief flavor of estability and safety from the dessert and the burning sun.

Retrospective Xmas Day

I like to see life always with a sense of irony, at least, it draws a slight smile on your face even if the happenings are not forever favorable.

About a year ago, life had given me the calmness and piece after almost a year of rough and hard concrete ground hunting my head down.

Luckily, I found strength, energy and drive to hang in there and move forward. My waiting was over when I found an oasis in the “cold” dessert of forgotten. I waited, seased and finally found what I wanted, my efforts were rewarded, and I made my willingness clea, I wanted to share with you my last post of the year that touched me and moved because of the feeling it produced inside of me.

At this time, my note is a “bit” different. This year has made me realize that lifeputs on the table a wide range of items, and that it is up to us how to give priority to each one of them.

This been said, these last days and weeks have made me realize a new draft that will help me set priority to these so over-discussed items.

My top priority just came into my life 4 days ago:

“Mickey Mouse Co.”

The title of this post is an euphemism.

And for those of you who are not too familiar with the term, see def by wikipedia below.

This post, far from wanting to be any closely related to the famous Walt Disney creation, the adorable and funny, Mickey Mouse, it refers to certain type of companies where the characters resemble much closer to a fantasy world. A Mickey mouse Co.mpany is a typical enterprise where some (if not pretty much all) decisions are made in a very unsual way or even not following the ethics or business standards.

If you have read this far, you might have probably guessed that recently I have experienced one of these kinds of decisions very closely

The good news if on a different matter. Life from newborns brings a sense of prolongation of one’s self. This is my case now. Very soon I will become father and I will see a new boy crying and saying hello in a few years.

It seems is time for good will and good actions.

Today a friend of mine, a co-founder of CSSMania.com, passed me a link which actually touched me deeply.

They are giving to a good cause all their income from this month generated by this website. We are talking about 7,000 dollars, which is a strong sign of their good will and solidarity of good faith for others.

With days like yesterday…

Certain days in life are better if you could go back to the same day in the morning and decide…”I pass”, sleep another 24h and have another look at it.

well, yesterday for some reason, it was one of those days. However, I am glad that today is a new one, blue sky, luckily, from my apartment I see the sun-rise every morning. It is like seeing a baby being born everyday; dawning on you with its light and letting you know that no matter what he/she will be there tomorrow for you, at your daily date.

At this point in life and as some of you many know, I will become father any day now. A baby boy, Nikolas Neo, will show up every morning, like the sun in our apartment but with its own light, energy and emotion.

This year 2007 has brought many good things so far, and if i look back in time one year ago, last year I was just getting out of a drowning down-hill of pretty much 6 months. So after all, and after days like yesterday, I can only say one thing that enjoyed hearing from “Morpheus” (Matrix Revolutions) when he is talking to the crowd before the judgement day of the machines “WE ARE STILL HERE!!!!!! [and the crowd rocks the walls of Zion] (see for yourself)
